Samenvatting:
European Parliament workshop on “Building a European energy infrastructure - selecting and implementing projects of common interest”. The workshop dealt with the proposal of the European Commission for a regulation for trans-European energy infrastructure COM(2011) 658 final. The presentation was input for the debate of the Industry, Trade and Energy (ITRE) parliamentary committee of the European Parliament. It covered some of the key issues of the envisaged EU-wide infrastructure project selection process. Both the foreseen project selection assessment as well as the consequences for the procedures and governance at regional level and EU level were discussed.
