Samenvatting:
This document is written as part of the project: CDM and Urban Air Pollution: Partnerships Enhancing Synergies in Urban Air and Health in Kyoto Mechanisms (CURB-AIR), which runs from February 2006 to January 2008, and is co-funded by the Asia Pro Eco Programme of the European
Commission.
This policy report mainly focuses on the second and third objective and includes the following
topics (see Figure 1.1):
• What is the air pollution status in each of the 4 Asian cities? (Chapter 2)
• Which technologies help to combat both climate change and air pollution? (Chapter 3)
• What are the opportunities to implement these technologies under the CDM? (Chapter 4)
• Which actions can be taken in the 4 cities to develop this further? (Chapter 5)
