‘The cabinet’s greening target is feasible’

The intention of the Rutte II Cabinet to realise 16 per cent sustainable energy in 2020 instead of the previously agreed 14 per cent was the reason why ECN policy expert Sander Lensink was interviewed in the NOS news broadcast of 2 November. He declared that the targets are feasible. “But this will require much effort. It will require wind farms at sea, for example, and biomass co-firing in coal plants. And everything needs to go really well.”
