Pilot line development for roll-to-roll production of organic solar cells

ECN and Holst Centre offer an open innovation program on Organic Photovoltaic Technology (OPV) to industrial partners from across the value chain. Within this program, device and production technology is being developed for large scale production of low-cost OPV modules by roll-to-roll technology on flexible substrates. At present batch processing of modules and devices is gradu­ally transferred to roll-to-roll processing. To enable high-level process development an in-line roll-to-roll pilot line will be a necessity.
