Tuesday September 29th
19.00 – 21.00
Trung Hotel, Bangkok

This event will look at the current practices of MRV at the national, sectoral and international level in the context of the current UNFCCC negotiations. The event will begin with a look at the need for MRV - why is MRV useful for countries? What are the merits of an MRV system at the international level? The event will then go on to reference specific national sectoral case studies of MRV practice in-country. This includes looking at what current MRV structures exist in country? What does this tell us about the kind of structures and principles the international community should be considering?
