International Energy and Climate Policy - Energy and Development

The relationship between poverty alleviation, economic development and energy use is a prominent issue for individual developing nations,  international organisations (e.g. the United Nations) and international forums (e.g. the G8). ECN Policy Studies contributes to these issues by:

  • Studying the effects and possibilities of policy interactions, at both macro and micro level, to stimulate the adoption of renewable and low-carbon technologies
  • Actively engaging in building institutional capacity regarding energy planning and policy, promoting sustainable development trajectories through long term strategies and action plans
