Joost van Stralen works in the renewable energy group of ECN since September 2006. His main interest and specialization are in the development and application of techno-economic models within the field of renewable energy, especially renewable electricity. In his work models that focus on the national as well as the European scope are being used and developed. Since 2008 he has been involved in several wind offshore related projects. Before joining ECN, Joost worked first as a PhD student and later as a post-doc in the theoretical chemistry group of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
