SAVE Services for the services sector

In SAVE-Services the future energy consumption of the services sector is calculated. This sector concerns banks, governmental institutes, educational facilities, health care, etc. In 2009 the model SAVE Services has been completely renewed with new input and a new calculation method.

The model is part of the National Energy Outlook Monitoring System of ECN. This system consists of a large number of models which together simulate the energy use in the Netherlands. See also SAVE Production, the SAVE model for the sectors industry and agriculture. That model also includes cogeneration options in all the final consumption sectors, such as the services sector and refineries.
