Software & Electrical Engineering

Software & Electrical Engineering (SEE) offers solutions for the development and implementation of research facilities. Thereby using our expertise on the field of hardware- and software engineering using process instrumentation, power electronics, data-acquisition- and control systems, databases, data processing-, and internet-technology.

  • Process Instrumentation:
    Specification of pressure, flow and control-equipment and developing hardware interfaces. Experience with: gauging bridges, amplistat's, analogue and digital electronics;
  • Embedded systems:
    Design and implementation of specials based on embedded, real-time systems; experience with Windows CE, Lonworks Neuron C and several micro processors. Bus systems: PC104 ,SCXI (National Instruments), Lonworks, CAN and Profibus;
  • Data-acquisition and process control:
    Systems integration, design and implementation based on PLCs, modular I/O systems and standard software; experience in IEC1131 languages, Visual Basic, Labview, SCADA (Wizcon);
  • Databases:
    Design and implementation of data models, especially in scientific data modeling;
  • Graphical user interfacing:
    Bringing information from databases and computational models to life, through user-friendly graphical shells; expertise in Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual Fortran, Java and .Net;
  • Computational modelling:
    Designing models for simulation and optimisation, performance tuning of legacy computational code; experience in Fortran, C, Matlab/Simulink and several mathematical libraries;
  • Internet applications:
    Bringing “the web” to its full power by combining databases, background information and interactive applications in a centralised, universally accessible and easy-to-maintain environment; experience in IIS/ASP, ASP.NET, Apache, JavaScript and PHP;
  • Power electronics:
    Design and implementation of the electric power distribution cabinets, static power converters: AC/DC and  DC/DC convertors.

The development is achieved through state-of-the-art tools and methodologies; the client has full control over every step in the process, which guarantees that we create what the client needs.

We work closely together with Process System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Realisation.
