TREC high-temperature cleaning

TREC is a moving bed cross-flow reactor that can be operated up to 900°C. The bed material can be anything ranging from silica to catalytic material as long as it meets certain mechanical requirements. The TREC is used as a hot gas cleaning unit that reduces tars, particles, and sulphur components to a certain extent. It is part of the lab-scale test park at ECN (leaflet 13).
