PHYLLIS

the composition of biomass and waste

Phyllis is a database, containing information on the composition of biomass and waste. Phyllis enables you to make analysis data of individual biomass or waste materials available and offers you the possibility to obtain the average composition of any combination of groups and/or subgroups.

You can get answers on questions like:

  • What is the average sulphur content of wood?
  • What is the ash content of willow?
  • What is the average calorific value of chicken manure?

You can also contact ECN to ask for tailor made selections, fully conducted to your wishes at a reasonable fee. Address biomass@ecn.nl for information or for suggestions for improvement.

Phyllis is designed and maintained bij ECN Biomass, Coal and Environmental Research.

At present it contains about 2360 datarecords. Phyllis will be updated and extended regularly. A more limited collection of data from analyses according to European standards can be found at http://www.biodat.eu.
