Technology transfer

Technology Transfer is the process of sharing ECN technology with the global Photovoltaic industry. ECN makes new technology accessible to industry by on site training and implementation on mass production scale.

Available ECN Technology Transfer items are:

• Patented MWT (metal wrap through) integrated cell and module technology on p-type substrates for a 5% higher module power output at  reduced Cost of Ownership
• Back contact measurement chuck design and build
• Patented bifacial n-type solar cell process  for efficiencies above 19%
• p-type solar cell process for 17+%,  based on full Al rear, tube diffusion furnace processing or in-line diffusion processing. Sub processes also available.
• Advanced homogeneous emitter design
• ECN Clean for emitter optimization
• Print on print
• Stencil printing
• Optimized P gettering POCl₃ process
• Isotexture for multicrystalline Si
