Transport

ECN Beleidsstudies doet beleidsonderzoek op de volgende gebieden:

• In de integrale analyses van het Nederlandse energiesysteem wordt de transportsector meegenomen. Hiervoor is een rekenmodel beschikbaar, waarmee de mogelijkheden voor energiebesparing en emissiereductie tot in detail beschouwd kunnen worden.
• Alternatieve brandstoffen. In diverse projecten wordt, nationaal en internationaal, aandacht geschonken aan de beleidsinstrumenten om biobrandstoffen, elektrisch vervoer en waterstof te stimuleren.
• Verder is er specifieke kennis aanwezig over de mogelijkheden voor emissiereductie en energiebesparing in scheepvaart, bunkers en vliegverkeer.
