Tom Mikunda is a junior researcher at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands. He is currently working in the Group International Energy & Climate Issues of the unit Policy Studies.  Tom has a strong background in environmental science, with particular proficiency in the fields of environmental law, waste management and water resource issues. He holds an MSc in Environmental and Resource Management and a 1st Class BSc Hons (International) in Environmental Science.  Since leaving academia, he has worked in the UK waste management industry, gaining experience in project management and integrated business systems. In his current position he focuses on policy and regulation of carbon abatement technologies.
