Tom Kober works as scientific researcher in the group Global Sustainability within the ECN unit Policy Studies. Tom has experienced knowledge on the field of energy technology and policy assessment, based on TIMES energy system modelling. By operating and developing the global TIAM-ECN model he contributes to national and European research projects and focusses currently on greenhouse gas mitigation strategies within the EU project LIMITS.
He graduated in Industrial Engineering and Management at Dresden University of Technology and is close to finalizing his PhD thesis at IER in Stuttgart on perspectives of CCS power plants in the liberalised EU power market.
