Özge Özdemir received her MSc degree in Operations Research and Management in 2003 from Tilburg University, the Netherlands. She continued as a scientific researcher at Operations Research department of Tilburg University until 2008 and her research interests are application of optimization and equilibrium problems and simulation modeling in energy and environment . She joined ECN Policy studies in 2008 and has had experience with various national and EU-wide research projects on gas and electricity market developments. She has mainly contributed to the research at ECN with quantitative analysis of the impacts of possible energy system developments and policies (e.g., high shares of renewable generation, nuclear phase-out, shale gas developments, implementation of capacity markets) in Europe on the future European electricity and gas markets and networks. She is also responsible for the coordination of modeling activities of Energy Supply and Industry Group including maintenance and development of electricity and gas market models. |
