ÖZGE ÖZDEM?R has a background in operations research and economics. She obtained her M.Sc. degree in 2003 and Ph.D. Degree in 2013 from Econometrics and Operations Research Department, School of Economics and Management, Tilburg University, the Netherlands. Since 2008, she works at ECN Policy studies as a scientific researcher and has had experience with various national and EU-wide research projects on gas and electricity market developments. She has mainly contributed to the research at ECN with quantitative analysis of the impacts of possible energy system developments and policies (e.g., high shares of renewable generation, nuclear phase-out, shale gas developments, implementation of capacity markets) on the future European electricity and gas markets and networks. She is also responsible for the coordination of modeling activities in Energy Supply and Industry Group of Policy Studies, including development and application of optimization and equilibrium problems and simulation modeling in electricity and gas markets.
