Mariëtte Pol

Mariëtte Pol (1963) is a psychologist in human factors with extensive experience in the field of transport and behavior. She has provided research and policy advice on the behavior and perception of road and public transport users for various consulting firms and governments. She joined ECN Policy Studies in November 2011.

As a researcher in the Innovation and Society group  she is involved in projects related to sustainable transport and (consumer) behavior as well as European projects on public perception and acceptance of CCS and other innovative technologies.

  • NearCO2
    The purpose of this project is to develop effective strategies for engagement and communication of the public in the planning and decision making on CO2 capture and storage.
    The project is sponsored by the EC under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
