Luuk Beurskens works as a scientific researcher in the group Policy Evaluation & Support at the Policy Studies Unit of ECN. His main focus of work is renewable energy in Europe. Since his joining ECN in 2001, he has worked on renewable potential studies, costs of renewable energy options, renewable policy incentive evaluations, scenarios for renewables, grid integration of renewable electricity options, electricity portfolio analyses, renewable heat and National Renewable Action Plans (NREAPs). He is the main author of a compilation report (2011) presenting an overview of all data that have been published by the European Member States in their NREAPs, highlighting sets of cross-sections of the renewable energy projections database.. Luuk graduated in Mechanical Engineering, specialisation renewable energy systems, and did a postgraduate in Energy Management studies in Lausanne (EPFL). |
