Ms. Laura Würtenberger joined ECN as a researcher on international energy and climate policy in 2009. Her work focuses mainly on low carbon development, climate finance and technology transfer. In addition, she is interested in policy approaches to increase private sector engagement in climate change mitigation. Previously she worked for 5 years for a large financial institution in socially responsible and clean technology investments with a focus on companies involved in renewable energies and energy efficiency technologies. She spent 2 years in Singapore to develop and manage one of the first Emerging Markets sustainability equity funds. Laura has extensive work and research experience in Africa, Asia and Latin America. She holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
