Koen Schoots is a scientific researcher for the unit Policy Studies of the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) since April 2007. Initially working on learning curves for hydrogen technologies, his interest currently lies in energy economics, technological innovation for various technologies, innovation policy and the development of electricity markets and infrastructure. He was involved in the Dutch projects Hydrogen technology learning, THRIVE and studies in support of Dutch renewable energy policy. His experience in European project lies in contributions to Roads2HyCom, E-TRACK II and IRENE-40. Between 2002 and 2007 he worked on his PhD project in physics at the Leiden University (PhD, 2007) on the mobility, creation and annihilation of atomic scale structures on metals. He is (co-)author of several articles in peer-reviewed international scientific journals. |
