Joost van Stralen works at ECN since September 2006. Currently he works in the group Policy Evaluation and Support. His main interests and specializations are in the development and application of techno-economic models within the field of renewable energy. In his work models that focus on the national as well as the European scope are being used and developed. Over the past years he has been involved in several biomass and wind offshore related projects. Before joining ECN, Joost worked first as a PhD student and later as a post-doc in the theoretical chemistry group of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
