Joost Gerdes is an energy and climate policy researcher at the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN), working in the Policy Studies unit, which he joined in 2008. He graduated at Delft University of Technology as an engineer in applied physics. His work focuses on the field of national energy savings in the Netherlands and on monitoring of energy and climate policies. He is a member of the Platform Monitoring Energy savings that includes CBS (Statistics Netherlands), ECN, PBL (the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency) and Agency NL. His work on energy efficiency includes European cooperation in the Odyssee-Mure project.
