Jeroen de Joode obtained his M Sc degree in Economics in 2003 at the University of Tilburg, The Netherlands. He has been working for the Netherlands’ Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB) and the Dutch Energy Council. He joined ECN Policy Studies in 2004 as a scientific researcher in the Energy Production, Networks and Markets Group. He has been actively involved in projects such as cost-benefit analysis of policy options aimed at security of energy supply, the impact of distributed generation of electricity on electricity distribution networks (DG-Grid) and the optimisation of future 'energy corridors' between the EU and neighbouring countries (Encouraged). Since May 2005 he also holds a Ph D position at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology. His research there focuses on the economics of the natural gas market in general and the design and development of natural gas infrastructure in particular. |
