James Falzon joined ECN as a researcher in September 2012, after 2 years working for the European Commission in a European Union Delegation managing Energy and Environment development cooperation programmes. Prior to this, James worked as a sustainability consultant for the private sector, and as a hydropower and major project engineer in Australia. Having  worked extensively abroad, he is experienced in multi-cultural working environments and is comfortable working in different languages. With Masters degrees in Energy Engineering,  Management and Finance, James combines strong technical training and experience with broader financial, economic and management considerations.
