Casper Tigchelaar is a researcher at ECN, working in the policy studies department. He holds an MSc degree in environmental social science at the University of Utrecht. In his thesis he discussed barriers and incentives of frontrunners in sustainable business and suggested ways to improve governmental policy towards these companies. At ECN he has been involved in several national and international projects on energy efficiency in the Built Environment. These include ex-ante and ex-post evaluation studies, policy analyses and modeling of residential energy use. Energy related consumer behavior has increasingly become a key topic in his work.
