Ayla studied environmental engineering in Izmir, Turkey, and obtained an MSc on sustainable development-energy and resources from Utrecht University. From 2006 onwards Ayla worked at the EEA, Copenhagen, as project manager renewable energy and environment. She closely followed the renewable energy policy developments in Member States in determining and achieving their goals in renewable energy. She has also been carrying out European potential assessment studies on bioenergy and wind. Ayla leads the IEE BIOMASS FUTURES project, as well as ELOBIO. |
