Herman den Uil became a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the College of Hilversum in 1986. In 1995 he became a Master of Science in Chemistry at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Amsterdam. Since 1986 he has worked at the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) on the development of molten carbonate fuel cells and on high temperature gas cleanup for coal gasification. Since 1996 he is works in the field of biomass research. He has a broad experience in technical, environmental and economic assessments of biomass conversion systems. His current position is manager of the group Transportation fuels and Chemicals. |
