Benefits of BioSNG

ECN recognizes the great potential of BioSNG (Green Gas) as a sustainable energy carrier in an existing infrastructure. Below, the good things about BioSNG are summarized for the case that it is produced at large-scale in the Netherlands.

Shortly: BioSNG is a versatile and flexible form of renewable energy. It can be used to color almost any application "green" ranging from transport to chemical feedstock and power production to heat supply. Furthermore, it is flexible in the sense that it can be used at any time of day/month/year and this offers the perfect renewable counterpart of other forms of renewable energy such as wind and solar, which are only available if the wind blows or the sun shines.
