MEXICO: Measurement in a very large wind tunnel
The largest wind tunnel in Europe is located in the Netherlands. The DNW, the German-Dutch Wind Tunnel, was built to perform various aerodynamic tests on large objects. The first test on a model wind turbine with a diameter of 4.5 meter was completed in December 2006, with great success Further data analysis will demand much more work. [more]
ECN and Uhde sign licensing agreement for unique greenhouse gas reduction technology
In December 2006 ECN and the Dortmund-based process plant contractor Uhde GmbH, a company in the Technologies segment of the ThyssenKrupp Group, signed a licensing agreement in the field of N2O abatement in nitric acid plants. [more]
