Chris de Koning Corporate Communications manager at ECN

As of 26 March, Chris de Koning has taken up his duties as the new Corporate Communications manager at ECN.

Chris has already been working on the energy issue for some time now. In 2000, he started working for Shell as Global External Affairs & Communication manager in the business unit Hydrogen. After having worked for Greenpeace and Tocardo (hydropower turbine that generates tidal energy), Chris is now highly motivated to start his new function at ECN: ‘The transition to a sustainable society is taking place today and I would love to contribute to it’.

Chris is 48 years of age and he lives in Amsterdam.

At ECN, an international top institute in the field of sustainable energy technology, he is succeeding Bas Douma, who has been interim Corporate Communications manager at ECN in the past year.
