Activities: interactive, informative and fun

Several times a year, Jong-ECN organises activities for young employees; not only activities to broaden and share knowledge (such as colloquia and excursions to other companies), but also social activities. Some examples of our (previous) activities:

• Excursion to Amsterdam’s Waste and Energy Company (AEB); a group of 15 young ECN professionals paid a visit to this world leader in the sustainable conversion of waste into energy and valuable, reusable raw material.
• Excursion to the Low & High Flux Reactors of NRG; the most important producer of radionuclides in Europe.
• The Ynnovation Conference (ICA): about 250 young professionals from different organisations participated in this event and explored how the leaders of the future think about innovation. This event was organised by Young Professional associations of DSM, PwC, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, Accenture, Achmea, ECN, Fluor, ASR, ING, TNO and Shell.
• Beach walk; enjoying the beautiful surroundings, dunes and the beach near Petten.
• Lunch colloquia: every month a young professional gives a presentation on his field of expertise, such as wind energy, solar energy, biomass, energy efficiency or policy studies.
